As part of a routine roster change, Justice Sharma will now hear civil writ petitions.

As part of a routine roster change, Justice Manoj Jain of the Delhi High Court will hear criminal cases related to members of parliament (MP) and members of legislative assemblies (MLAs) with effect from July 1, 2026.

Earlier, the roster was with Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma. The Delhi High Court’s roster is generally reshuffled after the summer vacations.

Justice Sharma’s tenure at the MP/MLA roster was filled with controversies. She dealt with several high-profile cases, including the Excise Policy case in which former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was discharged by the trial court.

Kejriwal boycotted the proceedings before Justice Sharma and the judge initiated contempt of court proceedings against him and several others.

Justice Sharma has now been assigned civil writ petitions.
