Lakshmikumaran gets four new Partners; three Executive Partners in Indirect Tax, IP

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan has today promoted four of its joint partners to partnership and three Partners to Executive Partner level, confirmed Managing Partner V Lakshmikumaran.

Srikanth K, Prabhakaran PM and Jigar Shah have been made Partner in the firm’s indirect tax practice group.

Prashant Phillips, who has also been made a Partner in Delhi, is part of the IP practice group. A graduate of Delhi University, Prashant has been part of the firm for more than 10 years.

Srikanth focuses on the indirect tax practice. He is also part of the firm’s Tax Compliance Review team and is based in Gurgaon. Prabhakaran has over 23 years of experience specializing in service tax. He is based out of Bangalore.

Jigar Shah, who is also part of the indirect tax group, is based out of Ahmedabad.

The following partners have been made Executive Partners:

  • Manish Gaur – Delhi
  • Amit Jain – Delhi
  • Bipin Kumar Verma – Delhi

Manish heads the Service Tax Litigation Group. He joined L&S in 2007, prior to which he was an in-house counsel.

Amit is part of the litigation team and handles central excise and customs matters. Before joining L&S, he worked in the Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Department for 25 years.

Bipin has over 25 years of experience in indirect tax. Prior to joining, L&S, Bipin was working in the Department of Central Excise and Customs for 21 years.

It has been a year of expansions for the firm. Early this year, the firm opened its second international office in London with Jones Day’s India Partner Sumesh Sawhney.
