A Delhi court on Tuesday remanded Al Falah University founder Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui to 13 days of custody with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in relation to a money laundering case linked with the recent terror attack at the capital's Red Fort area.

Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Sheetal Chaudhary Pradhan of the Saket Court passed the order at around 1 AM on Wednesday. The proceedings had started late Tuesday night.

In her order, Judge Pradhan said that the ED had complied with the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and considering the gravity of the offence, Siddiqui should be remanded to ED custody for 13 days.

Siddiqui, founder and managing trustee of Al-Falah University in Faridabad, has come under scrutiny following a car blast near the Red Fort on November 10, 2025.

He was arrested by the ED on Tuesday as the agency investigates alleged terror-financing and money-laundering.

The Faridabad-based University has come under the lens after three doctors working in the institution were identified as suspects in the November 10 Red Fort blast that claimed the lives of a dozen people.
