ELP, LKS act on Somerset Indus Capital Partners' investment in NU Hospitals

Somerset Indus Capital Partners has made an investment in NU Hospitals Private Limited, involving a combination of a primary capital infusion and a secondary acquisition from existing shareholders.

Economic Laws Practice (ELP) advised Somerset Indus Capital Partners on this investment. The Firm provided end-to-end legal support in drafting, negotiating and finalising transaction documents, along with comprehensive regulatory and closing support to ensure seamless completion.

The transaction team was led by Vinay Butani (Partner), with support from Vinit Shah (Associate Partner) and Aditi Banthia (Associate).

Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys acted as legal advisor to NU Hospitals, its promoters, and certain non-promoter selling shareholders on this transaction. The firm’s involvement spanned structuring the deal, managing simultaneous primary and secondary components, and steering the transaction from signing to closing.

The transaction team was led by Gaurav Dayal (Executive Partner) and Sushrut Biswal (Partner), with support from Rohan Verma (Associate Partner), Saurabh Raman (Principal Associate), Sukoon Dinodia (Senior Associate), and Snigdha Ghosh (Associate).

NU Hospitals is a leading multi-specialty nephrology and urology hospital platform with operations across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the Maldives.

This marks Somerset Indus Capital Partners’ third investment from its third fund.
