Delhi High Court stays order to set up HPCs to enforce Pay Commission recommendations in private schools

A single-judge had earlier held that private schools must implement the recommendations of Central Pay Commissions. To this end, the judge had also constituted HPCs to implement those guidelines.

The Delhi High Court on Friday stayed an order directing the Delhi government to constitute high-powered committees (HPCs) to supervise the implementation of the recommendations of the sixth and seventh Central Pay Commissions (CPCs) when it comes to salaries in private schools [Renu Arora & Ors v St Margaret Senior Secondary School & Anr].
