The Court also appreciated the efforts by advocate Rahul Bajaj, a lawyer with visual impairment, who appeared for a specially-abled student.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday asked the Central government to take a policy decision on whether seats in educational institutes reserved for persons with disabilities (PwD) can be filled by candidates having a lesser degree of disability than the prescribed benchmark, so that such seats do not remain vacant.
