Delhi High Court restrains WhatsApp, Telegram from illegally circulating e-papers of Times of India

The news articles/contents published on these websites as well as in newspapers constituted “original literary work” as was therefore protected under Section 14 of the Copyright Act, Bennett Coleman stated.

The Delhi High Court has restrained messaging platforms WhatsApp and Telegram, as well as certain private individuals, from illegally circulating e-papers of Times of India and Nav Bharat Times (Bennett Coleman Co Ltd v. WhatsApp & ors).
