The Central government on Tuesday notified the transfer of two Allahabad High Court judges to other High Courts.

While Justice Sanjay Kumar Singh has been transferred to Patna High Court, Justice Donadi Ramesh has been transferred to Andhra Pradesh High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended Justice Singh's transfer to Patna High Court and Justice Ramesh's transfer to Andhra Pradesh High Court in August.

The Collegium had also recommended the transfer of Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal to Calcutta High Court but same has not been notified yet.

Allahabad High Court has a working strength of 110 against the sanctioned strength of 160 judges. With the transfers, the number of judges will decrease to 108.
