The Institute of Law, Nirma University emerged as winners of the Fifth Surana & Surana National Insolvency Moot Court Competition 2022 organized by UPES School of Law, Dehradun.

The competition was held from 14 October, 2022 to 16 October, 2022.

The team comprised of Shrey Bhatt, Kartik Nagpal and Devarshi Trivedi.

Furthermore, the team was bagged the citation for best memorial and best speaker in the final round by Shrey Bhatt.

The final rounds were adjudged by a constitution bench comprising of Mr. Rajeev Raizada, Dr. Mukul Shastry, Mr. Kumar Saurabh Singh, Mr. Sameer Srivastava and Mr. Pallav Mongia.

The team, while sharing their experience said,

"The win is a classic example of sheer determination and fearless execution. Our watertight preparation in 30 days allowed us to crystallize the idea of teamwork. We believe the result generates a gratifying value when the process is profound. With a wave of positivity running in our spirit, we never thought about the outcome but devoted our energy to the process. We are heartily indebted to our alumni and seniors for allocating their time and energy to our journey. Their correct and concrete guidance devised the roadmap to victory. The moot was a wholesome experience as it allowed us to broaden our horizons and think outside the intact legislation. Since IBC is neoteric law, our submissions were appreciated for having a logical stance and structured execution."

This note was shared by Devarshi Trivedi, student at Institute of Law, Nirma University Ahmedabad.
