AQUILAW acts on Shrachi Sports - IFA arrangement to set field for Bengal Super League

AQUILAW has acted as legal counsel to Shrachi Sports in a landmark engagement with the Indian Football Association (IFA) for the establishment and conduct of the Bengal Super League (BSL) — a first-of-its-kind, district-based football league in West Bengal.

The firm's role included advising on and drafting the licensing agreement with IFA, assisting in structuring and negotiating the commercial framework and negotiating related commercial contracts including the broadcasting partnership with ZEE for BSL.

The transaction team consisted of Suhana Islam Murshedd (Partner), Kanchan Modak (Principal Associate) and Subarna Saha (Senior Associate).
