Clarence and Partners, Khaitan act on Dvara KGFS securing funds from SIDT

SIDT has invested ~₹29.5 crore in Dvara KGFS.

Sparkassen International Development Trust GmbH (SIDT), a German institutional investor, has made an investment of ~₹29.5 crore (€ 3 million) in Dvara Kshetriya Gramin Financial Services.

Clarence and Partners advised SIDT on this investment deal. The Firm advised, drafted and negotiated transaction documents on behalf of SIDT. The Firm also advised and assisted SIDT in its India specific compliances and tax registration requirements.

The transaction team was led by Clarence Anthony (Founder and Partner), with support from Varun Kumar (Associate Partner).

The SIDT investment marks the German entity’s first equity deployment in India’s financial inclusion space. The capital will be used to bolster Dvara KGFS’s capital adequacy, support the expansion of 50 new enterprise-loan branches this fiscal (taking the total to 477), and accelerate the company’s AI-enabled digital transformation strategy. Operating across 11 Indian states with a network of over 425 branches.

Dvara KGFS serves more than half a million customers, and this latest round underscores growing international investor confidence in its rural credit delivery model.
