Khaitan Legal assists Aviva in the acquisition of additional 25% stake from Dabur Group

UK-based Aviva International makes a Foreign Direct Investment following the increase in permissible FDI limits in Indian insurance companies.

UK-based Aviva International Holdings increased shares in Aviva Life Insurance Company India Limited by purchasing 25% shares from Indian joint venture partner Dabur Invest Corp.

Khaitan Legal Associates advised Aviva in this transaction.

The transaction team consisted of Sakate Khaitan (Senior Partner), Varsha Jalan (Partner), Sanjana Dasgupta (Senior Associate), Annie Arya (Senior Associate) and Arushi Arora (Associate).

This deal came in response to the increase in permissible FDI limits in Indian insurance companies to 74%.
