Obhan & Associates acts on Okinawa Autotech joint venture with Tacita

The joint venture company will be incorporated in India and production of the new electric two-wheelers is set to begin in 2023.

Okinawa Autotech, a leading Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has entered into a joint venture with Italian electric and performance motorcycle manufacturer, Tacita, for the manufacture of electric two-wheelers.

Obhan & Associates acted as the legal counsel to Okinawa and were responsible for drafting and negotiating the transaction documents, including the joint venture agreement between the parties.

The transaction was led by a team comprising Ashima Obhan (Senior Partner), Akanksha Dua (Principal Associate) and Seerat Bhutani (Associate).

The joint venture company will be incorporated in India and production of the new electric two-wheelers is set to begin in 2023. Both the parties will work together to develop new scooters and motorcycles and the joint venture company will target the domestic as well as the international market.
