Light Microfinance, an RBI-registered Non-Banking Financial Company has raised ₹196 crore in its Series B round led by British International Investment (UK).

The round also saw participation from existing impact investors Nordic Microfinance Initiative (Norway), Triple Jump (Netherlands) and Incofin (Belgium).

S&R Associates represented Light Microfinance in this investment round.

The transaction team consisted of Viral Mehta (Partner), Kinnari Sanghvi (Counsel) and Vyoma Mehta (Associate).

According to a statement, the funds will be used for rapidly expanding the company's fintech offerings including digital-only products.
