Trilegal advises Canara HSBC Life Insurance on ₹250 crore NCD issuance

The transaction marks the first ever debt issuance by Canara HSBC.

Canara HSBC Life Insurance Company Limited has made an issuance of unsecured, rated, listed, redeemable, fully paid up, non-cumulative, subordinated, non-convertible debentures, aggregating to ₹250 crore on a private placement basis.

Trilegal advised Canara HSBC on this NCD issuance.

The transaction team was led by Richa Choudhary (Partner) and Maitreya Rajurkar (Partner), with support from Shivayana Balodia (Senior Associates) and Tanushka Trivedi (Associate).

Canara HSBC Life Insurance

Canara HSBC is a private life insurer in India and promoted by Canara Bank, which ranks as the fourth largest public sector bank by total assets in India, and HSBC Insurance (Asia-Pacific) Holdings Limited, a member of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited group. Canara HSBC had the third highest assets under management amongst public sector promoted led life insurers and ranks amongst the top five bank-led life insurers in India.
