TT&A advises IFC on sanctioning $50 million to Nations Trust Bank

The funds will be utilised by Nations Trust Bank to finance lending towards priority sector industries, MSMEs, and women-owned businesses.

The International Finance Corporation is set to sanction a loan facility of up to $50 million to Nations Trust Bank PLC, a leading Sri Lanka-based bank.

TT&A is advising IFC on this transaction.

The transaction team consists of Ambarish Mohanty (Partner) and Ashley George (Associate).

The proceeds of the facility will be used by Nations Trust Bank to finance lending towards priority sector industries, specifically small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) loans in the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, with at least $7.5 million to be applied towards women-owned businesses.
