Exclusive: Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas Head of International Arbitration Shaneen Parikh resigns

Parikh was a Partner with the erstwhile Amarchand Mangaldas for two decades, before spending another decade at CAM.

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (CAM) Disputes Partner and Head - International Arbitration Shaneen Parikh has resigned from the firm to most likely go independent.

Speaking on her exit, CAM Managing Partner Cyril Shroff said,

“She has spent most of her career with the firm. Given her seniority, she wants to explore the natural progression of being an independent arbitration practitioner and arbitrator. We are very supportive of her decision and see it as a logical step as an arbitration practitioner. We wish her all success.“

With over three decades of experience, Parikh is a dual-qualified solicitor in India and in England & Wales. She is an Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India and a registered foreign lawyer of the Singapore International Commercial Court.

She specialises in arbitration, having represented clients in disputes administered by various international arbitral institutions as well as ad hoc arbitration. She serves as the Vice-Chair to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR. She also serves on the Council of the Mumbai Centre for International Arbitration (MCIA) and an ambassador of Asia Pacific Arbitration Group of the International Bar Association (IBA). She was on the SIAC Court of Arbitration from 2018-2022.

Aside from arbitration, Parikh also handles commercial litigation, having represented clients in various courts and tribunal across India, including the NCLT, High Courts and the Supreme Court.
