Former Saikrishna & Associates Senior Associate Akshat Agrawal has launched his independent practice, ASA Chambers, specialising in intellectual property (IP), media, entertainment and technology litigation

Agrawal, who has represented high-profile clients including music composer A.R. Rahman in his appeal against Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, brings extensive experience in copyright and media disputes. During his tenure at Saikrishna & Associates, he advised and represented several leading content platforms in litigation matters.

ASA Chambers will focus on offering outside counsel services to clients and law firms, with a strong emphasis on litigation strategy and courtroom advocacy in specialised areas of IP law.

“I will be particularly leveraging my expertise and experience in copyright law to provide focused counsel to clients who require representation in complex disputes,” Agrawal said.

An alumnus of UC Berkeley School of Law, Agrawal completed his LLM with a thesis titled Resolving Copyright's Distortionary Effects, which received Google's Global Award for Most Inclusive Copyright Thesis in the World in 2023. He finished law from Jindal Global Law School.
