Former OLA Group GC Rohit Kumar joins ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India as General Counsel

Kumar has over two decades of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and legal advisory - both in-house and in private practice.

OLA Group General Counsel Rohit Kumar has moved to Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India as General Counsel replacing Ashok Kumar P, who is joining UltraTech.

Kumar is a 2002 graduate of Symbiosis International University. He has over two decades of experience in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, and legal advisory - both in-house and in private practice.

He was associated with JSA and Herbert Smith Freehills before transitioning to in-house roles wherein he worked with UPL and OLA.

As Group General Counsel for Ola Group, Kumar oversaw the legal function for EVs, ride-hailing business/consumer and generative AI.

On joining AM/NS, Kumar stated,

“I am happy to be here and look forward to doing this interesting and challenging assignment as best as I can.”
