Delhi basd KR Chawla & Co has entered into a second “preferred referral relationship” with Canada-based Shourie Bhatia LLP. This comes close to five months that the firm has entered into another referral agreement with Rome-based SC Legal.

Explaining the reasons behind the move, KR Chawla’s Managing Partner, Harvansh Chawla said, “There is a lot of investment from Canadian institutions into India and it is the right time to take such referral arrangement steps to cater to needs of both Indian and Canadian enterprises”.

Shourie Bhatia LLP is based in Alberta, Canada with a central office located in the City of Edmonto. Arun Shourie, Partner at Shourie Bhatia and co-signee to the agreement, has been practising law for over 15 years. Before his admission to the Alberta Bar in 2005 he practised in New Delhi.

With this arrangement, both the firms will assist their respective clients in obtaining legal consultancy services in other firm’s jurisdiction.
