Punjab law student dead after classmate shoots her, turns gun on himself

Both students are first-years at Mai Bhago Law College, a private law college in Tarn Taran, Punjab.

A shooting at Punjab's Mai Bhago Law College on Monday claimed the life of a law student, while the shooter is in a critical condition after turning the gun on himself.

A classroom CCTV recording circulating on social media shows a male student get up, turn around, fire a weapon at his classmate and then shoot himself.

Reports identify the victim as Naushera Pannaun resident Sandeep Kaur, and the other student as Mallian village resident Prince Raj.

As per the CCTV timestamp, the incident occured today at 9:17 AM.

The Tarn Taran police are investigating the motive and where the student acquired the gun from.
