Senior Advocate SVS Iyer passes away

Senior Advocate SVS Iyer passed away today at 9.45 am. He was 85 years old.

Iyer, who started his practice at Alappuzha and later shifted to Ernakulam, was among the first batch of lawyers to be designated Senior Advocates by the Kerala High Court.

The cremation will be at 3.30 pm today in Ernakulam.

Iyer is survived by his son, Senior Advocate and former Kerala High Court judge, V Giri.
