GT Thomas Phillippe joins Unicorn ShareChat as General Counsel

Former Zomato General Counsel GT Thomas Phillippe has joined ShareChat as full-time General Counsel. He was earlier working as External General Counsel for ShareChat.

Phillippe resigned from Zomato in July 2020. Prior to that, he was a Partner at Khaitan & Co.

A graduate of NUJS, Kolkata, Phillippe initially worked at Trilegal for two years after which he moved to AZB & Partners. In January 2011, he started PXV Partners along with other NUJS graduates.

In 2014, Phillippe and fellow NUJS graduates Deepto Roy and Mohit Abraham dissolved PXV Law Partners and joined Khaitan & Co as Associate Partners. Philippe was later made Partner at Khaitan in 2016. Two years later, he moved to Zomato.

ShareChat recently made it to the list of unicorns with its latest $502 million fundraise. Phillipe led ShareChat on this deal along with IndusLaw.

Former L&L Partner Damini Bhalla has joined Zomato as General Counsel.
