CAM advises Samayat Services on ₹10,220 crore stake sale of Vishal Mega Mart

Samayat Services held a 19.36% stake in Vishal Mega Mart

Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas advised Samayat Services LLP for the sale of 90 crore equity shares of Vishal Mega Mart Limited by way of a share sale for a reported aggregate amount of ~₹10,220 crore.

The transaction team was led by Yash J. Ashar (Senior Partner) and Manshoor Nazki (Partner, Regional Co-Head - Capital Markets - South); with the support from Mansi Jhaveri (Principal Associate) and Neha Sharma, Associate.

Vishal Mega Mart

Samayat Services LLP, the promoter of Vishal Mega Mart, sold the shares through a block deal on June 17, 2025, offloading around 90 crore equity shares—representing about 19.4% of the company’s equity. This brought down its stake from over 74% to around 55%, while still retaining majority control.

The deal saw significant participation from institutional investors, including SBI Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, and Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, who collectively acquired nearly 32 crore shares.
