CMS INDUSLAW, Khaitan act on Zepto $450 million Series H fundraise

The fresh capital raised will support the company’s growth plans ahead of a potential initial public offering.

Zepto, prominent player in India’s quick-commerce industry, has raised approximately $450 million, at a USD 7 billion valuation, from a Series H fundraise led by General Catalyst, with participation from other existing investors.

CMS INDUSLAW advised Zepto on this fundraise.

The transaction team consisted of Winnie Shekhar (Partner), Rashi Bharadwaj (Partner), Ravishankar M (Senior Associate), Ravin Abhyankar (Senior Associate) and Khushi Vardhan (Associate).

Khaitan & Co advised lead investor General Catalyst on this fundraise. The Firm assisted in undertaking legal due diligence, negotiations, marking up of the transaction documents and closing.

The core transaction team comprised of Bharat Anand (Senior Partner), Nidhi Killawala (Partner), Anupama Singh (Principal Associate) and Aastha Agarwallaa (Associate).

Zepto is involved in the business of wholesale trading of a variety of products such as groceries, pharmaceuticals, apparel, consumer devices etc., operating marketplace platform for such products, and other ancillary activities in relation to the above.
