JSA advises Ujala Cygnus on stake acquisition in Amandeep Hospitals

JSA Advocates & Solicitors advised General Atlantic-backed Ujala Cygnus Hospitals (Cygnus Medicare Private Limited) on entering into a strategic partnership with Amandeep Hospitals (Amandeep Healthcare Private Limited) through the acquisition of a significant stake in the latter.

The transaction team consisted of Siddharth Mody (Lead Partner), Anurag Shrivastav (Partner), Tanmayee Sahoo (Senior Associate) and Gavin Pereira (Associate), with assistance from:

Through this alliance, Ujala Cygnus will bring institutional scale, technology, and operational expertise to complement Amandeep Hospitals deep rooted clinical excellence, regional trust, and a legacy of compassionate care. With this alliance, Ujala Cygnus expands its network from 22 to 28 hospitals, increasing its total bed capacity from 2,000 beds to nearly 2,800 beds.
