The round was led by Commvault and included participation from a mix of India- and US-based investors such as MassMutual Ventures, Inflexor Ventures, Prana Ventures, Tenacity Ventures, and other strategic investors. Existing backers, including the Meeran Family (founders of Eastern Group), StartupXSeed, Neon Fund, and Exfinity Ventures, also participated in the round.

This funding round also marks a significant milestone in CloudSEK's growth trajectory, reflecting a five-fold increase in valuation to approximately $118 million (about ₹1,000 crore) compared to its previous funding round.

Founded in 2015 by cybersecurity researcher Rahul Sasi, CloudSEK specializes in identifying Initial Attack Vectors (IAVs)—early indicators of potential breaches such as leaked credentials, exposed APIs, and compromised vendors. Unlike traditional tools that respond after an incident, CloudSEK's platform aims to detect threats proactively, weeks before an incident unfolds.

The company serves over 250 enterprises across banking, healthcare, technology, and the public sector. With more than 60% of its new revenue coming from international markets, particularly the U.S., CloudSEK plans to use the new capital to enhance its AI models, expand its global presence, and establish operations in the U.S., UAE, and Asia-Pacific regions.
