India Alternatives Private Equity Fund had made an acquisition of minority stake in equity shares of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE). The deal was completed post receipt of requisite approvals from NSE.
The completion of transfer of shares was subject to a two-stage approval by NSE.
Khaitan & Co advised India Alternatives Private Equity Fund in this deal.
The transaction team consisted of Abhishek Dadoo (Partner), Anvita Mishra (Principal Associate), Jayantika Khanna (Senior Associate) and Astha Tambi (Senior Associate) with assistance from Bijal Ajinkya (Partner) and Rahul Jain (Principal Associate) on direct tax aspects of the transaction.
