Khaitan & Co advises MUFG Bank in their investment in Lentra AI

MUFG Bank, through its Ganesha investment fund for Indian start-ups, and MUFG Innovation Partners Co., Ltd (MUIP), a corporate venture fund under the MUFG Group have made a significant investment in Lentra AI Private Limited, as part of Lentra's recent fund raise.

Khaitan & Co advised MUFG Bank and MUIP in this deal.

The core team consisted of Karun Cariappa (Partner), Kartikeya Prakash (Partner), Aadhya (Principal Associate) and Mihir Roy (Principal Associate) with assistance from the following:

Lentra is a leading cloud lending platform that empowers financial institutions and non-banking financial institutions to lend faster through instant processing and credit decision making.  

This deal marks the first joint investment by the Ganesha Fund and the Bank's corporate venture fund, which will help Lentra expand their digital lending products and offerings to financial institutions across APAC as well as other regions.
