Khaitan, IndusLaw lead as Flipkart makes journey into online travel space with Cleartrip acquisition

Indian e-commerce company Flipkart has acquired 100% shareholding of Cleartrip, an online travel technology company.

Although Cleartrip's operations will be acquired by Flipkart, the travel company will continue to operate as a separate brand, retaining all employees while working with Flipkart to further develop technology solutions that will be focused on making travel easier for customers.

Khaitan & Co acted for Flipkart with a team led by Partner Arun Scaria along with Principal Associate Aniruddha Basu and Senior Associate Sukhmani Singh.

IndusLaw represented Cleartrip on the transaction through a team led by Senior Partner Srinivas Katta and Partner Rashi Saraf along with Senior Associate Stuti Agarawal and Associate Shreyas Bapat.
