Centre appoints 2 judicial officers, 2 advocates as additional judges of Gauhati High Court

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names earlier this month.

The Central government on July 28 appointed two judicial officers and two advocates as additional judges of the Gauhati High Court.

The following lawyers have been appointed as judges:

- Pranjal Das (Judicial Officer)

- Sanjeev Kumar Sharma (Judicial Officer)

- Anjan Moni Kalita (Advocate)

- Rajesh Mazumdar (Advocate)

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names earlier this month.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) took to X to announce the appointments.
