Skadden Counsel Bing Yan has been appointed as the Executive Director of Abu Dhabi International Arbitration Centre.

Yan is a 2005 graduate of Wuhan University. She earned her LLM from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010.

Yan has over two decades of experience in international arbitration, practising across Shanghai, New York, Singapore, and London. She has represented clients in arbitration proceedings governed by the rules of all leading arbitral institutions, managing disputes involving a broad spectrum of commercial and financial issues. Her experience includes several prominent investment treaty arbitrations and multi-billion dollar litigation cases. Her practice covers diverse sectors such as energy, mining, insurance, and trusts, and she also possess expertise in white-collar matters, including FCPA investigations.

Yan has been part of Arbitration practices across leading international law firms - Herbert Smith Freehills, White & Case and Skadden Arps. She had moved to the Middle East last year as a Counsel with Skadden Arps.
