Rajeev Uberoi joins SAM as Senior Advisor; Lalan Gupta and Amruta Kelkar join as Partners

Gupta and Kelkar have joined the firm's Dispute Resolution and General Corporate practices, respectively.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (SAM) has hired IDFC Bank Group General Counsel Dr Rajeev Uberoi as a Senior Advisor. He will be based out of the firm's Mumbai office.

The firm has also hired Lalan Gupta and Amruta Kelkar as Partners in its Dispute Resolution and General Corporate practices, respectively.

Dr Uberoi has previously worked with Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank and IDFC Limited. He joined IDFC Bank as Group General Counsel and Head Legal & Audit in 2015. During his stint, he was responsible for compliance, vigilance and operational risk governance.

Gupta has over a decade of litigation experience, and was previously a Partner as Dhruve Liladhar & Co. His key practice areas encompass Dispute Resolution, with a focus on Litigation on both the Original and Appellate jurisdictions and Domestic Arbitrations, Mediation & Conciliation.

Kelkar graduated from Government Law College, Mumbai in 2007. She has previously worked with Kanga & Co, Juris Corp, and Kotak Investment Banking, before Economic Laws Practice in 2013. She has over 12 years of experience in Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions both in domestic and cross-border transactions.
