Vishnu Mehra & Co. ties up with Malaysian law firm Malek, Paulian & Gan

Delhi-based law firm Vishnu Mehra & Co. has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysian law firm Malek, Paulian & Gan.

The MoU aims to establish a platform for collaboration on legal consultancy services to corporations and individuals engaged in trade, commercial and business activities in India and/or Malaysia.

"The MoU is not only seen as means to strengthen the existing professional ties between partners of both law firms, but the cooperation is also an important forum for cross border legal advisory services in the fields of alternative dispute resolution and corporate transactions for the mutual benefit of both law firms and their respective clients."

Vishnu Mehra & Co. specialises in civil and commercial litigation and arbitration, corporate and commercial transactions, insolvency proceedings and debt recovery matters, among others.

The Indian firm was founded by Vishnu Mehra, an advocate with over 30 years of experience in litigation and arbitration across many sectors. Mehra is a graduate of Law Centre-I, Delhi University. He has previously served as a faculty member of National Law University, Jodhpur.

Karan Mehra is the Managing Partner of the firm. He has over 17 years of experience handling several complex and crucial civil commercial and corporate litigations and arbitrations (domestic and overseas).

After graduating from ILS Law College, Pune in 2003, he worked in the chambers of the Senior Advocate Amarjeet Singh Chandhiok. From 2006-2016, he worked with Amarchand Mangaldas (now Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co).
