A Bengaluru sessions court on Monday granted bail to Paavan Nanda, co-founder of Winzo Games Pvt Ltd, in the money-laundering case registered by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) [Pavan Nanda Vs Enforcement Directorate].

Sources close to the development told Bar & Bench that, Nanda has been directed to execute a personal bond of ₹5 lakh along with two sureties of ₹2 lakh each. He has also been asked to surrender his passport and cooperate with the investigation as and when called by the investigating officer.

The Court further directed that Nanda shall not commit similar offences, or threaten or influence prosecution witnesses, and shall remain available for investigation. He was ordered to be released upon compliance with the bail conditions.

A copy of the order is awaited.

In December 2025, the Court had granted bail to Saumya Singh Rathore, co-founder and director of Winzo. However, in the same order, Nanda was denied bail. He has now been granted bail

The ED case against Nanda arose from predicate offences reflected in FIRs registered in Bengaluru, Rajasthan and Delhi. The agency has alleged that Winzo’s gaming operations involved algorithmic manipulation and use of BOTs, resulting in alleged wrongful gains of ₹177 crore. It has further alleged diversion of funds to overseas subsidiaries and laundering of proceeds of crime through cloud-based infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The ED has also claimed identity misuse of a large number of users and transnational fund flows amounting to approximately USD 55 million.

Nanda has denied the allegations, asserted full cooperation with the investigation, and challenged the legality of the search and seizure operations conducted by the agency.

Nanda was represented by Senior Advocate MS Shyam Sundar.
