SAM's Kartikey Mahajan to be first Dispute Resolution Partner at Khaitan's Singapore office

Mahajan will be the third Partner based out of the firm's Singapore office.

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas lawyer Kartikey Mahajan is set to join Khaitan & Co at the firm's new Singapore office.

Mahajan will be the first Partner at the firm's Dispute Resolution practice in Singapore.

He is a 2011 graduate from National Law University, Jodhpur and pursued his LL.M. from Harvard University in 2015. With over 10 years of experience at Indian and foreign law firms, Mahajan has previously worked in the London offices of King & Spalding and Kirkland & Ellis, and with Clifford Chance at the Singapore office. He had a brief stint as Counsel at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai.

In his new role at Khaitan's Singapore office, Mahajan will focus on international arbitration matters, both for Indian clients and foreign counterparties. He will work with the firm's other Dispute Resolution Partners based in India and in collaboration with international law firms.

He will also actively engage with multi-national companies and financial sponsors in the region, to help them anticipate and mitigate contentious situations arising out of India, by teaming up with the firm's India-based Litigation & Investigation Partners.

On Mahajan's joining the firm, Executive Director - Human Resources Amar Sinhji said,
